KQ - kinesthetic intelligence;
the ability to use one’s body effectively to solve problems, create and manipulate objects, or express oneself physically.
In essence, it reflects how effectively one moves and interacts in various physical contexts.
The key characteristics of kinesthetic intelligence are physical coordination, expressive movement, and physical problem solving, distinguishing it from cognitive and emotional intelligence.
KQ through Touch
Hands-on therapy from a professional can help to increase flexibility and range of motion, optimize muscle tension, support athletic performance, and enhance kinesthetic intelligence by improving body awareness and addressing physical limitations.
Bodywork helps you understand how your body moves and functions through movement based learning so you can cultivate ease of motion, enhance your physical skills, and avoid injuries.
Why KQ?
By recognizing the crucial role of kinesthetic intelligence in your life, you can make deliberate choices to enhance your physical abilities, learning processes, and creative expressions, ultimately leading to a more enriched and successful life.

Jacob Spurlock
Structural Integrator | Neuromuscular Therapist
Throughout his life Jacob has pursued athletic endeavors and studied movement arts ranging from yoga to jiu-jitsu to ballroom dancing. As he aged he became keenly aware of the need to keep his body functioning at the highest level possible and now enjoys the pursuit of helping others to do the same.
“As a young adult my body was riddled with repetitive stress injuries and I found myself unable to complete daily tasks without immense pain. Through the long process of healing I began my journey to becoming a therapist.”
Through his work, Jacob helps people to heal from old injuries, enhance or maintain their quality of living, and optimize athletic performance.
He studied massage therapy at Lincoln Land Community College then began neuromuscular training in Swansea, IL at the Body Therapy Center and School of Massage. In recent years he’s collaborated with chiropractors and studied the works of renowned osteopaths and physical therapists to broaden his spectrum of treatment approaches. The work of Tom Myers resonated with him and he completed Tom’s structural integration certification course on the coast of Maine. In addition to formal training he continues to study under Jesse Weaver, of Jesse Tree Healing Arts.
